The lightweight boot is made of a durable woven nylon canvas with nylon binding for reinforcement. The hard sole bottom is textured to improve traction, making it durable and safe for stall rest and hand-walking. The upper part of the boot offers some stretch for a more custom fit, while a double "Quick Grip" closure secures the boot and makes removal easy for re-application of medications and injury assessment. The front and rear of these boots also feature a 5/8" thick padding for ultimate comfort.
For additional support, a leather sole insert helps to pull moisture from the hoof to keep it dry. This leather insert is removeable for easy cleaning and can be easily replaced as needed.

Using this boot is simple:
Be sure the hoof is clean and dry before applying medications or poultice.
Wrap the hoof with your favorite cohesive or elastic bandage, but no need for multiple layers.
Slide the Tough1 Recover Boot onto the hoof, pulling the back of the boot over the heel.
Secure the double closure and you are good to go!
